About Us

Supporting Student Financial Wellbeing

A group of students meet to discuss financial literacy topics in a well decorated room.

The Merriman Financial Literacy Program at Western Washington University provides free resources to the WWU community around personal finance through methods designed to meet people where they are. Founded thanks to a generous gift from celebrated personal finance educator Paul Merriman, we are here to serve the entire community with meaningful and well researched resources.

You can read more about our core program offerings on this website, including our successful Peer Mentor program, our free online resource called iGrad, and the courses that we offer in conjunction with the College of Business and Economics.
