The Merriman Financial Literacy Program, in partnership with the College of Business & Economics and the Office of Outreach and Continuing Education are proud to offer a slate of courses on financial literacy.

Finance 215

WHEN: Academic year 

MODALITY: In-Person

DESCRIPTION: This course covers basic topics in personal finance including saving, developing techniques for budgeting, and more. There is a heavy emphasis on the use of saving allocations to achieve personal goals.

SEMINAR 201

WHEN: Academic year

MODALITY: In-Person

DESCRIPTION: The Seminar 201 courses cover a wide variety of topics which students can repeat up to a maximum of 9 credits under different topics. Financial literacy is the key topic in one of these courses. 

The seminar format of this course means smaller class sizes and a focus on building community among students.

DIY INVESTING

DESCRIPTION: A practical guide to achieving financial independence. Led by renowned truth-tellers in the field of finance and investing, learn the fundamentals of personal finance, from different types of investments, to risk management and retirement savings strategies.
